We WILL be having Okanogan Days this year – in some sort or fashion. There will be a parade and more! But – what “more” means is still being developed.
BUT – the first Saturday in June (6/5) is the big day!
Save the date and we are so excited to see you there!
In the first episode of Season 2, Chanelle Carlin interviews Bill Black of NDN All-Stars and Black Horse Productions.
While everything around us seems to be in disarray these days, you can rely on the Loup to be there, same as always. Same Okanogan blue skies, same spectacular groomed slopes, and same family-friendly ski area. Sure, we will all be wearing masks this year, just like everyone else. That is not going to slow us down because you cannot stop the snow and you cannot stop winter, so mask up and let ‘er rip at the Loup!
Loup Loup Ski Bowl is one of only a few small non-profit ski areas in the Pacific Northwest. Loup Loup Ski Bowl is operated by the Loup Loup Ski Education Foundation whose mission is to provide winter sports education for our community through the operation of a safe, affordable, family friendly mountain destination for today and future generations. We believe being small is our biggest asset. You will not find a reservation system here to go skiing, and we do not have any parking lot shuttle buses because we don’t need any. As we are in the middle of replacing our old lodge with a brand new, 50% larger lodge, using your car as your temporary lodge this year means you’ll helping our new lodge be all set for next season!
We may be a little homegrown for some, but for most of our locals and first-time discoverers of the Loup, we wouldn’t want it any other way. 1,240 feet of glorious vertical with immaculately groomed runs by our ace mountain grooming staff, and views that stretch from the Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness to the Okanogan mountains and the Paysayten Wilderness. Our playground is your playground because we are all one big family.
Come on back home or come discover the Loup for the very first time. We are only 240 miles from Seattle, 215 miles from Everett, 160 miles from Spokane, 100 miles from Wenatchee, but once you’re here it will seem like a thousand miles from nowhere and there’s no place that we’d rather be.
Come visit the Methow, Okanogan and Chelan valleys, and Escape to the Loup!
