Saturday, April 29 in Downtown Okanogan

Bring your appetite downtown and fill up on some of the best food truck eats in the area!

The first ever Okanogan Chamber of Commerce Food Truck Feast-ival is April 29, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in downtown Okanogan on 2nd Avenue South (in front of the Dawg House). Come on down for Yummy Food, a super fun Cornhole Tournament and fantastic Live Music!

YUMMY FOOD

It’s going to be SO much fun with yummy food vendors:

  • Coulee Farms
  • Tunk Valley Bakery – with amazing cupcakes
  • Mountain Meals – with their pizza oven
  • The Okanogan Kiwanis – with pepper bellies & a gorgeous fruit lemonade
  • What’cha Want Teriyaki. Something new and different for Okanogan!

OF COURSE THERE WILL BE MUSIC!!!

We are so excited to welcome Make up Sax and Rabbits with Machine Guns to the stage that night. Hope you’ll come out, listen, enjoy and support our local musicians. Big thank you to Gil, Angela and Omer for managing the sound. HUGE thank you to our stage crew from Solutions Weed and Pest Control for donating your crew to help set up and take down as well as Dan Hellanius for donating the use of his stage. Thank you to the folks at Dawg House for organizing the music, sound and stage.

CORNHOLE, ANYONE?

If the fabulous food wasn’t enough, we are also hosting a Cornhole Tournament (yes, for those of you wondering, it will be Tournament style). Registration will take place on the day and there will be Youth and Adult divisions. The Cornhole boards were built the Okanogan High School Woodshop program and are sponsored by local businesses. Business Sponsors include: Derting & Appel, Q Driving School, Economic Alliance, MGH Enterprises, Body Kneads, and Baines Title.

Wondering what cornhole is, exactly? According to the American Cornhole Organization (yes, it‘s a thing), Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. https://americancornhole.com/what-is-cornhole/

Team Play but you don’t have to come with a partner; we can assign partners for individual players.

There are two age groups: 17 and under, 18 and over.

Cost (so we can offer prizes):

17 and under $5 per person / $10 per Team;

18 and over, $10 per person / $20 per Team; 100% payout for 1st 3 places in each age group.

2 Round Robins and then Double Elimination Tournament so every team is guaranteed 4 matches.
