Community Provider and Employer Forum/Brown Bag Lunch

Hello Community Partners and Employers!

WorkSource and Wenatchee Valley College would like to invite you to a Community Provider and Employer Forum/Brown Bag Lunch on Thurs. Jan 19th from Noon – 2:00PM at the Okanogan PUD: 1331 2nd Ave N. Okanogan WA.

Our goal is to discuss employer and job seeker needs in Okanogan County and develop strategies for how we, as a community can partner effectively to address these needs. We would like to provide an opportunity for attendees to exchange information and opinions on employment and training issues that they are currently facing and collaborate on ways that we can partner to build a stronger pipeline of higher skilled, employment-ready job seekers in Okanogan County.

WorkSource and Wenatchee Valley College have many new, exciting and valuable programs available right now for both employers and community providers. We’d love to share the work that we are doing with all of you, learn more about what you are doing and also talk about what more can be done!

Attached is information on WorkSource’s BFET (Basic Food Employment & Training) Program that we are currently rolling out in the community. This program will allow us to bring more 1:1, intensive employment services to all areas of Okanogan County.

Additionally, attached is a flyer for the “College and Career Readiness Certificate” that we have been working on with WVC, Economic Alliance, DVR, Colville Tribes, DSHS and local employers to help address employer’s and job seekers needs.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at this event! Please RSVP by Jan 18th, just so we have an idea of how many people to expect.

Happy Holiday Season!!!
